seekmycontent.com is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
Anyone can ask whether a YouTube video or channel has a confirmed theft record with SeekMyContent, either on our website or through AI assistants such as ChatGPT. These lookups only use records already stored by SeekMyContent.
SeekMyContent and its service providers use cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service:
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect your ability to stay signed in or complete payments.
SeekMyContent supports sign-in via Google and Apple as a convenience. When you use these sign-in methods, we receive only your name and email address from those providers via Supabase Auth. We do not receive your passwords, and we do not access any other data from your Google or Apple accounts.
SeekMyContent uses YouTube API Services in two ways. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Publishing (requires connecting your account): if you connect your YouTube account, we request only the minimum OAuth permissions required to publish on your behalf:
youtube.upload — upload and manage video uploads on your behalfyoutube.readonly — read your channel information for displayTheft detection (does not require connecting your account): to find unauthorized reuploads of your content, we search YouTube for videos matching the watermark, handle, and keywords you register with us, using public video metadata (title, description, tags) and public channel upload lists. Any likely match is shown to you in your dashboard — including the matched video's title, thumbnail, and a link to it on youtube.com — so you can decide whether to pursue a copyright claim through YouTube's own reporting channels. This does not use your OAuth connection and does not access private data on any channel.
You can revoke publishing access at any time via your Google Account permissions page or under Settings → Connected Accounts → Disconnect.
SeekMyContent uses the following third-party SDKs and services, each of which may collect data as described in their respective privacy policies:
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your data with:
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it. YouTube OAuth tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnecting your account.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive tokens, and strict access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@seekmycontent.com.
SeekMyContent is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data receives an adequate level of protection.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the date above. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice such as an in-app notification or email.
